Filtered and Unfiltered Olive Oil

Filtered Olive oil is almost transparent more clearer than unfiltered olive oil. Filtered olive oil has most likely been produced via a centrifuge setup. However there is no difference in taste and quality from filtered and unfiltered olive oil. The selection between the two varieties is purely of personal choice.

Unfiltered olive oil is more opaque, and contains very small particles of the fruit, which commonly reside at the bottom of the bottle creating some sort of sediment which is visible by just observing the bottle. Some say that unfiltered olive oil is much preferred due to its naturalness and authenticity of the visible fruit particles.

It is most common to find filtered olive oil is used amongst varieties of meat and roasted meals. Unfiltered olive oil however is most commonly used on starter meals such as soups and for salad dressings.
